Finding Inspiration

We need to work hard and set higher and higher goals each time, so that we can achieve the highest goal – ceto darpana marjanam – a clean heart in which we can cultivate real love for Radha and Krsna.

It is only the exceptional mercy of Lord Caitanya and His representative, Srila Prabhupada, that we can be all delivered and go back home, back to Godhead.

Don't expect immediate results in devotional service. It may even take lifetimes. You have to be very patient. Rupa Goswami mentions in Nectar of Devotion – you have to be very patient.

During the course of our lives we face many difficulties and calamities. Our devotion is tested by the Lord in such situations.

The Hare Krishna mahamantra acts like a sweet medicine which liberates us from the ignorance of the material world and gives us real happiness.

Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu reveals the secret that the sankirtan movement gives the devotee the taste that they are hankering for.

We have to be very attentive to avoiding any offenses to the Holy Name, which may slow our progress down or in some cases take away all the benefits that we have gained through chanting Hare Krishna.

The rebellious and obstinate living entity turns away from Krsna and wants to play in his own realm of sense gratification. But he is very nicely placed under the care of Maya-devi who ties him up with the three modes of material nature for his ultimate rectification.

The material world is created to maintain each and every living entity provided it lives in harmony with the rules of God. All we have to do is take what is necessary to keep the body and soul together and leave the rest.

Sadhu means one who cuts our material attachments. He does not speak to flatter the audience but rather speaks the truth which may be painful but is for the ultimate benefit.

Material pride means that I am proud of myself whereas spiritual pride means that I am proud of Krsna. Material pride diminishes Krsna consciousness whereas spiritual pride increases Krsna consciousness.

One act of devotional service done sincerely attracts the mercy of the Lord.

We need to hear from the pure unalloyed devotees of the Lord whose hearts are like gold so that we can act as the transparent via medium for the Lord through which the message of Krsna consciousness can pass through loud and clear.
